We ask that each household perform at least five hours per year in Kehilla School, in addition to the service hours they fulfill for the larger congregation.

Parents may fulfill this commitment to Kehilla School in a variety of ways, including

  • being a room parent for your child's class,
  • assisting with the snack program,
  • helping with Jewish holiday special events,
  • organizing Kehilla School families into chavurot, and
  • participating with the Kehilla Youth Education Committee.
Prior to the start of the school year, parents complete a Parent Service Form as a part of their child's Kehilla School application. Parent Service is an excellent way to get involved in the community and meet more people.

After you turn in your Parent Service Form, you will be contacted with confirmation on how to fulfill your hours. In lieu of serving Kehilla School five hours per year, a family may pay $50. If by the end of the year you have not finished your hours, you will be billed.
