Fri., June 6, 7:30pm. Kabbalat Shabbat. Join us for a song-filled and soulful evening of ecstatic and contemplative prayer.  Led by Shulamit Wise Fairman.

Sat., June 7, 10am.  Join us for this Shabbat service as Dan Meade, son of Bob Meade & Clare Trimbur, and Lynne Meade,  is called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah.  Services will be led by Elizheva Hurvich, Edie Murphy and Arik Labowtiz.  You are warmly invited to share in the simcha, and to a kiddush following.

Fri., June 13.  No School/Family Shabbat.  Summer hiatus.  These services will resume on August 8. 

Sat., June 14, 10am. CHAI Shabbat!  A singing rhythmic Shabbat service with Kehilla’s rabbis, prayer and song leaders, drums, music. The first half-hour will be distinctly child-friendly. Parents may opt to have youngsters use child-care after that. The theme is a celebration of Chesed – lovingkindness – and Kehilla’s Chesed Committee. Other special simchas will be celebrated.

Sat., June 14, 1pm.  Art Show Opening Celebration featuring the photographs of  Hal Feiger`s late aunt, Gerda Straus Mathan. Fireside Room.

Tues., June 17, 7:30am. Morning Minyan.  Fireside Room.

Thurs., June 19, 7pm.  Economic Justice Committee Meeting.  Multipurpose Room.

Fri., June 20.  Havurot Shabbat. Most Kehilla havurot meet this evening.  A Havurah is a group of friends who gather to celebrate Shabbat in each other’s homes.

Sat., June 21, 10am.  Join us for our Annual Summer Equinox Shabbat and Walking Meditation Service at Inspiration Point in Tilden Park, led by Ilana Schatz. Bring a brown bag lunch or something potluck to share. If it's raining, we'll meet at Ilana's home.

Fri., June 27, 6:30pm. Tot Shabbat.  For 2-5 year olds. Led by Jen Miriam Kantor. Vegetarian potluck dinner (fish okay, but no shellfish).  Social Hall.

Sat June 28, 10am, Special LGBT Celebrational Shabbat Service with Avi Rose, Pam Gordon & Beth Dickinson. In celebration of Lesbian Gay Pride weekend, a Shabbat service especially to celebrate the California Supreme Court Decision recognizing that equal protection under the state constitution requires that the marriages of gay and lesbian couples be accorded the same benefits, responsibilities and title as those of opposite sex couples. Kiddush to follow.
