Directions 
We are located at 1300 Grand Avenue in Piedmont, at the corner of Grand Avenue and Fairview. If you are traveling up Grand Ave. from Oakland, note that the street numbers will change as you cross over the Piedmont city line at Ace Hardware. The numbers coming from the 580 freeway will be in the 3000s in Oakland, and then drop to the 1200s in Piedmont. See below for further directions. Parking:
The Synagogue has a parking lot with 18 spaces. Additional parking is available on weekends about a half block away at 1345-1375 Grand Avenue and after 6 pm in the Ace Hardware store parking lot, across the street. There is some parking on nearby streets, including upper Grand and upper Fairview (next to the median planting strip). There is a designated handicapped parking space on the Fairview Street side of the building.
From Berkeley and North:
Take I-80 West to 580 East. Exit on GRAND AVE. Turn left and go under the freeway. Continue up Grand Ave. for 8-10 blocks. We’re on the right, just past the Ace Hardware.
From Oakland and South on 580:
Take 580 West to GRAND AVE. Exit and turn left at the light. Continue up Grand Ave. for 8-10 blocks. We’re on the right, just past the Ace Hardware.
From Oakland and South on 880:
Go north on 880 to Oakland. Take 980 to 580 East. Exit on GRAND AVE. Turn left and go under the freeway. Continue up Grand Ave. for 8-10 blocks. We’re on the right, just past the Ace Hardware.
From San Francisco:
Cross the Bay Bridge on I-80 East. Once across the bridge follow signs to 580 east, towards Hayward. Continue on 580 east and exit at GRAND AVE. Turn left and go under the freeway. Continue up Grand Ave. for 8-10 blocks. We’re on the right, just past the Ace Hardware.
From Orinda and East:
Take Hwy 24 west to Broadway. Take Broadway down towards Oakland, and at the first huge intersection turn left onto Pleasant Valley Road. Follow Pleasant Valley Road across Piedmont Ave., and as it winds around it becomes Grand Ave. Look for a stoplight at Oakland Ave., and continue 3 more blocks. We are on the left.

The #12 Grand bus line stops right in front of the building at 1300 Grand Ave.
The #12 Grand route is within walking distance of the 12th Street, 19th Street, and MacArthur BART stations.
Also, the #11 Harrison bus line stops at Oakland Ave. & Grand Ave., just a few blocks away from 1300 Grand.
