This TimeLine was developed for the 'Keeping the Hope Alive' Class given by Rabbis Burt Jacobson and David Cooper during Feburary to May in 2005. The class was a follow up to to the Brit Shalom document developed by the Kehilla MidEast Polkitical Action Committee which was in turn inspired by the work of Martin Buber and the Yom Kippur sermon by Rabbi David which calls on all sides of the MidEast conflict to understand each sides 'Narrative'.

The 3 Narratives TimeLine presents the history of Israel/Palestine from 3 perspectives: the Israeli, the Palestinian and Peace and Justice view. We strived to write it so that when you read each 'Narrative' you understand the feelings underlying that perspective. We want feedback from outside our group for a number of reasons:

• MidEast history is complex and subject to passionate and opinionated views. We want to hear other facts and opinions
• The document was largely compiled by Kehilla members. We tried to be fair, but we want more viewpoints - particularly from Palestinians.
